Cutback Bitumen RC-30

Description

Cutback Bitumen RC-30 is dissolved of bitumen in solvents of gasoline. In many countries, kerosene and other volatile petroleum-derived products are added as a cutter or cutback agent to bitumen to reduce (or cutback) the viscosity of the bitumen. he reduction in viscosity of the bitumen aids the construction of seal coats in road pavements as the softened mixture wets the chips more easily. The cutback agent evaporates from the seal coat, the cutback agent becoming a negligible component of the seal coat a few months after application.

Application of Cutback RC-30

Cutback agents are used to lowering the viscosity of bitumen when it is applied as a primer to the surface of a road pavement aggregate base course or substrate. Current common uses are in penetrating prime coats and in producing patching or stockpile mixtures.

Packing and Storage Details

Use more precise and technical language while describing the procedure for packing, handling, and storage requirements that will maintain product quality.

Example: “RC-30 Cutback Bitumen is packaged safely to prevent leakage and maintain product integrity during storage and transit. The product is available for sale in new heavy steel drums on pallets, each tightly closed to prevent contamination. In bulk orders, the product is also available in IBC tanks or bitutainers to provide convenience in large-scale application. Storage must be in a dry, cool location to avoid degradation of the cutback agent.”
