Bitumen AC10

Description Bitumen AC10

Bitumen AC10 refers to a specific grade of bitumen categorized based on its penetration value, which measures its hardness or consistency. It is commonly used in construction, road maintenance, waterproofing, and industrial applications. The numbers associated with AC grades indicate the penetration value, which measures the hardness or consistency of the bitumen.

It has excellent adhesive properties, making it ideal for applications requiring strong bonding. It also offers good waterproofing capabilities, thermal stability, and resistance to weathering, ensuring durability and performance in various conditions. AC 10 is a designed bituminous asphalt which is mostly used in hot climate because the viscosity is high.

AC grades indicated viscosity at 60 °C actually the number after AC showed 0.01 absolute viscosity in poises at 60 °C. For instance, AC-5 means the bituminous asphalt cement has viscosity of 500 poises at 60°C.

Application of Bitumen AC10

This type of bitumen is ideal for road construction projects in temperate regions. It is also suitable for the production of asphalt primer and waterproofing products.

Bitumen AC10 is well-suited for manufacturing hot mix asphalt for road bases and pavements, making it a valuable resource in road construction.

Additionally, it can be used in the production of various bitumen products such as emulsions, cutback bitumen, and modified bitumen grades.

Packaging

It is typically packaged in drums or bulk containers for convenient handling and transportation. This packaging ensures product integrity and safety during storage and delivery to end-users.
