Introduction
Looking for a guaranteed bitumen supplier in Uganda? We specialize in delivering top-notch bitumen grades tailored to suit the East African climate and infrastructure demands. From national road authorities to private construction contractors, our clients trust us for uninterrupted quality, timely delivery, and exceptional technical support.
Why High Quality Bitumen Is Essential in Uganda?
Uganda’s tropical climate—with alternating wet and dry seasons—places continuous strain on roads and infrastructure. Heavy rainfall, high humidity, and increasing traffic volumes accelerate surface wear and structural damage. To ensure durability and long-term performance, the use of premium, weather-resistant bitumen is critical for road construction and maintenance across the country.
Applications of Bitumen in Uganda
Bitumen 60/70 for Main Roads & Highways in Hot Dry Regions
Bitumen 60/70 is the most utilized grade of bitumen applied for main roads all over Uganda, especially in the central and northern regions where weather is hot and traffic is intense. Its balanced viscosity renders it appropriate for asphalt courses subject to both heat and traffic stresses.
Resists deformation during dry weather and heavy loads
Fine on sunny roads with minimal cracking
Use on highways and trunk roads in Kampala, Gulu, and Mbarara
Bitumen 80/100 for Urban Roads & Light-Density Areas in Subtropical Climates
Softer and more elastic, Bitumen 80/100 is a superior option for wet and tropical conditions such as Jinja or the Lake Victoria areas, where pavement elasticity is most critical. Ideal for municipal roads, housing projects, and second-level road surfacing.
Good flexibility in wet, rainy conditions
Reduces moisture absorption cracks and minor movement
Suits low-volume roads, pavements, and urban maintenance
Bitumen 40/50 For Heavy-Duty Roads, Freight Depots & Industrial Application
Bitumen 40/50 is more viscous and harder, designed for high-load applications. It’s best used in cargo terminals, mining sites, and airport facilities, where durability and stiffness are paramount.
Excellent resistance to rutting and heavy vehicle stress
Best used in freight corridors and industrial zones along border trade routes
Easy to apply in airstrips, container terminals, and logistics centers

We deliver packaging and customs clearance smoothly in drums or bulk.
Price of Bitumen in Uganda
The price of bitumen in Uganda is influenced by several key factors, including fluctuations in crude oil prices, ocean freight costs, the price of vacuum bottom (VB), and the type of packaging used. Among the different bitumen grades, the price of bitumen 60/70 serves as the benchmark, as it is the lowest and forms the base price for other grades. The price of cutback bitumen, on the other hand, depends on the cost of its primary raw materials.
Our payment Term
Our terms of payment are TT/30% in advance and balance after a copy of BL. This secures 30% of the payment in advance while the remaining balance is settled when a copy of the Bill of Lading has been availed, ensuring goods are in transit and well documented.
