Bitumen AC 40

Description of Bitumen AC40

Bitumen AC40, also known as Asphalt Cement (AC) 40, is a highly viscous bitumen grade specifically designed for road construction and maintenance in hot climates. It stands out for its remarkable durability, flexibility, and resistance to deformation, making it perfect for creating high-performance road surfaces, even in the harshest conditions.

This bitumen grade binds materials effectively, ensuring that pavements can withstand extreme environmental stresses and heavy traffic loads. It offers a reliable, long-lasting solution for critical infrastructure projects, ensuring roads remain functional in the toughest environments.

Application of Bitumen AC40

Bitumen AC40 is widely used in road construction projects located in warm and dry regions. It is also an excellent choice for producing asphalt primers. Furthermore, Bitumen AC40 serves various purposes in road construction, surfacing, and industrial applications. It is commonly used to manufacture asphalt mixes, bitumen emulsions, cut-back bitumen, and modified bitumen.

Packing

Bitumen AC-40 is supplied in 10-30 ton heated jacketed tankers, in liquid form at 150°C when it leaves the factory. It is available in bulk (tankers) or in 200-liter used steel drums. Customers or end-users are responsible for reheating the product as necessary.

Specification

ZUMRUT KIMIA guarantees that Bitumen AC-40 is produced in compliance with international standards such as ASTM D3381-09, AASHTO M226-80 (2008), and IS 73:2006. It also meets the requirements specified in relevant industry standards.
