What is Oxidized Bitumen 105/15?
Oxidized Bitumen 105/15 is a Semi Solid type of pure petroleum bitumen manufactured by manipulation of hot air-blowing through an asphalt flux.
The numbers relate to the midpoint of the material’s softening point and penetration respectively. The softening point value is the degrees Centigrade measured by the Ring and Ball method as determined by ASTM D36 Standards and regulations. The penetration value is in 1/10 mm as determined by IP49 or ASTM- D5.
Oxidized asphalt 105/15 is based on petroleum bitumen which is made by blowing grade 60/70 bitumen by hot air.
The bitumen 115/15 should be heated double temperature against the softening point to be able to have flow and viscosity. Normally bitumen 115/15 heating up to 230 ᵒc while it is the bale and if it is inside of bitumen bag needed the extra temperature to melt the bags and it is approx. 50 ᵒc more.
Before using bitumen 115/15 surfaces must be dry, clean and free of loose particles, curing products, irregularities, and slurry. If you use this types of asphalt without cleaning the area the bitumen 115/15 will easily remove.

Blowing process bitumen 105/15
After preheating, the short residue is introduced into the blowing column just below the normal liquid level. Air is blown through the bitumen by means of an air distributor located at the bottom of the column. The air acts not only as a reactant but also serves to agitate and mix the oxidized bitumen 105/15, thereby increasing both the surface area and the rate of reaction. The bitumen absorbs oxygen as air ascends through the material. Steam and water are sprayed into the vapour space above the bitumen level, the former to suppress foaming and dilute the oxygen content of waste gases and the latter to cool the vapours in order to prevent after-burning and the resulting formation of coke.
Applications of Oxidized Bitumen 105/15
Blown Bitumen 105/15 is widely used as an anti-slip layer compound in the piling industry, for the manufacture of roofing felts, for sound dampening felts and under carriage sealant in the automobile industry, electric cable joint protection, joint filling compound, sealant compound and many others.
It’s using as raw material for Bitumen coat, roofing, insulation also in Isolation bitumen membrane sheet. Also Blown bitumen 105/15 uses in carpet-backing, corrosion protection, acoustic panels, chemical, fuel, Manufacture of paints, lacquers, varnishes, paper-pulp-board, textile processing. In road construction, pavement, crack seal and repairmen, civil works, roofing also construction. In addition, it uses for sealing and insulating buildings, adhesive, construction materials additive, dust-binding, coating. With the wide range uses in the insulating and impregnating agent, make rubber and plastic products.
The Bitumen 105/15 products are for paving. Also used in asphalt-based paints for corrosion protection of metals, inlining public works structures, adhesives in electrical laminates, base for synthetic turf. Storage and Handling of Oxidized Bitumen 105/15
Blown asphalt 105/15 is best up to 10 years from the day it was manufactured. It is suggested for higher time of warehouse keeping to keep the bitumen under shelter and out of the rain and sun shine.
Health & safety of blown asphalt 105/35
Workers should wear protective masks, gloves, and goggles during application. The asphalt can be removed from equipment and tools with kerosene or gasoline.

25kg mold packing:
It is most expensive packing since there is mold on and with same mold we can ship out. The mold is carton and at destination you can remove the mold easily.
25Kg Polyamide bag:
It is heat resistance bag and filling directly in water to cool down fast. It is firstly use not possible to take out the Polyamide from the bitumen and then use.
25kg craft bag:
Craft bag is recycle packing and inside is special material to prevent sticking the bitumen to bag. This grade also possible to load on pallet or without pallet for customer.
