Caustic Soda Liquid Description
Caustic Soda Liquid, also known as Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH), is an inorganic compound with strong alkaline properties. The production of Caustic Soda involves the electrolysis of salt brine, which creates a colorless, viscous liquid.
This 47% concentration product, packed in 25L containers, effectively decomposes proteins at ambient temperatures. It can also cause chemical burns. The liquid dissolves in water and readily absorbs moisture and carbon dioxide from the air.
Sodium Hydroxide is widely used across various industries. It acts as a basic reagent in chemical production for numerous industrial applications.
Caustic Soda Liquid Applications
this product plays an essential role in many industries. It is primarily used in paper and cellulose pulp production. In the soap and detergent industry, it contributes to producing synthetic fatty acids and refining animal and vegetable fats and oils.
The textile printing and dyeing industry relies on Sodium Hydroxide Solution as a cotton desizing agent, refining agent, and filament agent. The chemical industry uses it to produce borax, sodium cyanide, formic acid, oxalic acid, phenol, and other compounds.
The petroleum industry utilizes Sodium Hydroxide Solution for refining petroleum products and in oil field drilling mud. Additionally, it aids in producing aluminum oxide, and in metal zinc and copper surface treatments. It also plays a role in manufacturing glass, enamel, leather, medicines, dyes, and pesticides.
In the food industry, food-grade Sodium Hydroxide Solution neutralizes acids and serves as a peeling agent for citrus, peaches, and other fruits. It also functions as a decolorizing agent and deodorizer.
Packing
We supply Caustic Soda Liquid primarily in bulk, transported in specialized tankers. However, based on customer requests, we can also pack it in IBC containers (1000-1200 kg capacity) or drums (200-220 kg capacity).
